Hello, Hello! It has been forever. No complaints. I was preparing for the 800 fans giveaway and the next thing I knew, Simply Rustic's Facebook page had over 850. Wow! and Thank You!
To say thanks I am hosting a "few of my favorite things" giveaway to celebrate! I did not take on this journey with any milestones in mind but just grateful for every day and it's always fun to celebrate to show my appreciation!

What you can win?
A month subscription to Ecocentric Mom - a fun and smart way to discover healthy, natural and organic products, delivered monthly to your home, exclusively for moms, moms-to-be and baby. I love the day my Mom Box arrives (so do my kids), it's like Christmas once a month and I'm always thrilled with the wonderful, healthy, natural and/or organic products in the box. A great way to try new products too that you didn't know existed. Winner can choose what box they would like to receive.
Simply Face Gift Pack - a popular gift pack this summer. Of course, I had to include something from Simply Rustic. Yes, I love it and have had several wonderful customers tell me the same thing and also shocked on how simple it is with positive results.
Two magnetic notepads from it's great to "be" - I still like my pen and paper on occasion and these notepads are at the top of my list because I love the sayings and illustrations plus Victoria, the creator, is great.
$25 Gift Certificate to Vitacost - when I'm not buying local or from my co-op, this is where I go. Vitacost has the best prices on everything from personal care to food. Spend $49 and receive free shipping...easy to do when stocking up.
A few odds and ends that I pick up every now and then.
13% Off Any Order Placed Now through July 31, 2013 - it's my birthday month and 13 is my favorite number. :-) I'm working on finding a shopping cart that accepts coupon codes but still has to go through PayPal...any suggestions? Two ways to take advantage of the sale for the rest of the month...order through website and I will refund you the 13% or email me your order with your PayPal email and I will invoice you. Can not be used with Birthday Club order.

How do you enter?

Multitasking
When the products are created, they typically have multitasking benefits. Simple formulas with many benefits...how can you go wrong? I'm slowly but surely adding these multitasking benefits and tips to the website.
Several of you have asked about a lotion and a facial moisturizer. I did give a go at trying a lotion, five different times in fact. The problem with that is once you add water to a product, preservatives need to be used. The research I have done on all natural preservatives or those allowed in organic/natural products - my comfort level just isn't there yet.
Here are a few multitasking benefits and tips based on product...
Body Butter - Great as a moisturizer and it is concentrated so a little does go a long way. You may have to try different amounts on what works with your skin. It does absorb more quickly if you use it right after shower or bath. Massage into feet before bed and throw on a pair of socks, your feet will love you. I use very little of the Revive as a facial moisturizer at night...the carrot seed essential oil and pumpkin seed oil plump up those fine lines and wrinkles. My daughter and I use the body butter (no one in particular) as a deep hair conditioner, mostly on the ends though I use it on my dry scalp during the winter. Put it on15-20 minutes before you shower, rinse and shampoo/condition as normal, leaves your hair super soft and silky definitely not greasy. The Mmm...Yummy is popular with pregnant women and children...a nut-free option is available too.
Body Scrub - Because of the castor oil there is no need for body wash, you can use this one product a few times a week to cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize. I use it the night before I shave or when I'm really lazy the same night, just have to change the razor blade sooner. Do not use a salt scrub after you shave...the salt will find those little nicks. When you use the body scrub, you don't have to turn around and apply a moisturizer, helps save time.
Cleansing Oil - You can use this as an everyday cleanser or a few times a week as a deep cleanser. The difference is time and directions come with the label. Works great as an eye makeup remover. If you have dry spots on your face or just dry skin in general, use it as a moisturizer. Add a drop to cuticles and massage in.
Face Food - This one is my favorite. It is a little inconvenient at times especially when you want to use it as a daily cleanser. I'm actually looking at a new container and refills, if you have any suggestions, please let me know. The easiest way, since I do use it everyday, is to start shower/bath, apply small amount to palm of hand and when you get in shower/bath use water to make a thin paste and then massage into face. I leave it on why I wash my hair and then massage again and rinse. You can mix it up with a myriad of choices from your kitchen (yogurt, honey, fruit/vegetable juice, mashed fruit, etc.) to make a mask. Mix it with the cleansing oil or toner for a cleanser with added benefits.
Concentrated Facial Serums - I believe these have caused the most confusion. :-) Yes, you can use this as the moisturizer part of a skin care routine. Dusk til Dawn has heavier oils so if you have normal or oily skin this would probably work better for you at night, in the winter, I can use this one as a daytime moisturizer. Revitalize has lighter oils and can be used both day and night, again depending on your skin type. Right now, I'm using Revitalize day and night. If you have oily skin, you might find both can help balance the oils produced by your skin. Serums are designed to penetrate deeper layers of the skin compared to a facial moisturizer. Don't want to give up your moisturizer? You can use both...cleanse your skin, use toner or not, apply the serum and let absorb and then apply the moisturizer. Have frizzy hair or fly-a-ways? One pump applied to palm of hand, rubbed between hands and smoothed through hair will tame both.
Toner+Mister - Until I started making the toner+mister, I haven't used one in years. As a toner, apply to cotton pad and wipe over face to pick up traces of dirt and oil. As a mister, use to rehydrate face anytime and set makeup. Helps calm and cool sunburned skin. Use for the liquid ingredient for the Face Food.

If you have anymore, I would love to hear them. I will be working on the little ones products too. My kids have to apply either the "Mommmyyy!" Balm or Simply Soothing Balm for every boo-boo and bug bite they get. :-)
